About The Authors

Edward Tablak, often known as Tab, has been a World Traveler, Naval Pilot, Corporate Executive and Entrepreneur. His personal friendship and involvement with minorities during the civil rights' movement provided him with rich experiences. The struggle of women seeking equality in corporate life touched him deeply and in many ways inspired some of his writings.

His first five books each look at various periods of life in the 20th Century, in which the world faced strong challenges and rapid change.

 

Jody Meacham began his journalism career at the Asheville Citizen-Times, Charlotte News and Charlotte Observer in his native North Carolina, and later worked for the San Jose Mercury News in California. As a sports writer he covered topics ranging from NASCAR to equal sports opportunities for women to a half-dozen Olympic Games. Since leaving newspapers in 2000, he has worked in public relations in sports and nonprofits in San Jose.

Meacham grew up in Hamlet, North Carolina, where he worked summers for the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad during his years as a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author of a non-fiction sports book, Figure Skating for Dummies, with gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi. Through the Heart of the South is his first novel.

 

Rev. Dr. Ken Henry attended Princeton Theological Seminary 1985-87, graduated from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 1988, and received his D. Min. from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1999.  He also, taught homiletics, rhetorical studies, and communication at Northwest Christian University in Eugene, OR from 2004-2007. Currently, Ken is serving as pastor at  Stone Church of Willow Glen, PC(USA) in San Jose, CA
